1. Bookings & Payments

A booking is confirmed once Enduro Algarve has received the required deposit and issued written confirmation by email. Until confirmation is provided, places remain subject to availability and may be released without notice.

Deposits are typically due at the time of booking, with the remaining balance payable according to the payment schedule stated in your booking confirmation. Accepted payment methods and any applicable currency conversion fees will be communicated before payment is taken.

Prices are quoted in euros unless otherwise stated. Enduro Algarve reserves the right to correct obvious pricing errors and will notify you promptly if a correction affects your booking. Failure to pay any instalment by the stated due date may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of amounts already paid, in accordance with the cancellation policy below.

2. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Enduro Algarve. The date we receive your written notice determines the applicable refund, if any. Refunds are processed to the original payment method where practicable.

As a general guide, cancellations made with substantial notice may receive a partial refund of amounts paid, less any non-refundable deposits or third-party costs already incurred. Shorter notice periods may result in reduced or no refund. Exact windows and percentages are confirmed in your booking documents.

If Enduro Algarve must cancel a tour due to force majeure — including extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other events beyond our reasonable control — we will offer a transfer to an alternative date or a credit where possible. We strongly recommend that all participants arrange comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, and adventure sports.

3. Participant Requirements

Participants must meet the minimum age requirement stated for the chosen tour and hold a valid motorcycle licence appropriate for the motorcycle provided. Proof of licence may be requested before or on the day of the tour.

Riders should be in good physical condition and capable of handling an off-road motorcycle for the duration and difficulty level selected. By booking, you confirm that you have truthfully declared your riding experience and any relevant medical conditions that could affect your participation.

Enduro Algarve may refuse participation or reassign a rider to a more suitable tour level if, in our reasonable judgement, a participant’s skill, fitness, or licence status presents an unacceptable safety risk to themselves or others. In such cases, alternative arrangements or refunds will be handled in line with our cancellation policy.

4. Tour & Riding Information

Tour itineraries, routes, and daily schedules are indicative and may be adjusted for weather, trail conditions, group ability, or safety considerations. Guides have full authority to modify plans, pause riding, or end a session early where they consider it necessary.

Off-road riding involves inherent risks. Participants must follow all instructions given by guides, wear the protective equipment provided or required, and ride within their personal limits at all times. Helmets and appropriate protective gear are mandatory during riding.

Weather in the Algarve can change quickly. Tours proceed in light rain where safe to do so; however, severe conditions may require route changes or postponement. Decisions of the lead guide regarding safety are final.

5. Bike Rental Terms

Motorcycles supplied for tours remain the property of Enduro Algarve (or our rental partners). Participants are responsible for the bike assigned to them for the duration of the tour and must treat it with reasonable care.

Fuel policies, return conditions, and cleaning expectations will be explained at briefing. Unless otherwise stated, bikes should be returned with a comparable fuel level and free from unreasonable excess dirt or damage beyond normal trail wear.

Mechanical issues arising from normal use should be reported to a guide immediately. Unauthorised repairs, modifications, or continued use of a damaged motorcycle may result in liability for resulting costs. Damage caused by negligence, misuse, or failure to follow guide instructions may be charged to the participant at repair or replacement cost.

6. Insurance

Enduro Algarve maintains third-party liability insurance in connection with its guided touring operations as required under applicable Portuguese law. Details of cover limits can be provided on request.

Personal accident, medical, repatriation, and cancellation cover are not automatically included unless expressly stated in your booking confirmation. Participants are responsible for arranging adequate personal travel and adventure-sports insurance before travel.

Insurance policies vary widely in their treatment of motorcycle and off-road activities. Please verify that your policy covers enduro riding in Portugal and any rental motorcycle use associated with your tour.

7. Liability

By participating in an Enduro Algarve tour, you acknowledge that off-road motorcycling carries inherent risks of injury, property damage, and in extreme cases death. You accept those risks to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Except where liability cannot be excluded under Portuguese law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence — Enduro Algarve and its guides, staff, and agents shall not be liable for loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from participation in tours, use of equipment, or related travel arrangements.

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings throughout the tour. Enduro Algarve is not liable for loss or theft of personal property unless caused by our proven negligence. Any claim must be notified in writing as soon as reasonably practicable.

8. Code of Conduct

Participants must treat guides, staff, and fellow riders with respect at all times. Aggressive behaviour, harassment, or failure to follow safety instructions may result in immediate removal from the tour without refund.

We ride with respect for nature, local communities, and private property. Stay on designated trails, minimise noise where requested, and leave no litter. Cutting new lines, riding through restricted areas, or damaging vegetation is prohibited.

Ride responsibly. Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Excessive speed, reckless manoeuvres, or endangering others will not be tolerated and may end your participation for the day or the remainder of the booking.

9. Changes to Tours

Enduro Algarve may alter routes, daily distances, rest stops, or included activities where necessary for safety, weather, trail access, or operational reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve the overall character and value of the experience.

Accommodation, where included, is subject to availability. Equivalent alternatives may be substituted if a listed property becomes unavailable. Guide assignments may also change due to scheduling, illness, or group size.

Material changes will be communicated as early as practicable. If a change significantly reduces the core offering of your booking, you may be offered a suitable alternative date, a credit, or a partial refund consistent with our cancellation policy.

10. Privacy

Enduro Algarve collects and processes personal data as needed to manage bookings, communicate with participants, operate tours safely, and comply with legal obligations. This may include contact details, licence information, and relevant medical or emergency-contact details you choose to provide.

How we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By making a booking or submitting an enquiry, you acknowledge that your information will be handled in accordance with that policy and applicable data-protection law.

For questions about your personal data or to exercise your rights, please contact us using the details on our Contact page or as set out in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or your booking, are governed by the laws of Portugal.

Subject to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence, the courts of Portugal shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle disputes arising from these terms or your participation in Enduro Algarve tours.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Enduro Algarve in relation to your booking, except where additional written terms are expressly agreed.

If you have any questions about these terms and conditions, please Contact Us and we'll be happy to help.
